The Church and It’s Prophetic Voice
As dead flies cause even a bottle of perfume to stink, so a little foolishness spoils great wisdom and honor.

- Ecclesiastes 10:1

Sermons, messages, prophesies, so many words about so many things, covering so many topics…

...some say the Lord speaks, BUT has God really spoken?

What happened to the Church’s prophetic voice? A clear, pure, bold sound of truth that resonates within the hearts of mankind.

I Corinthians 14:8 says “ For if a trumpet give an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself for war?

There is a spiritual war going on for the hearts of the human family right in front of us and where does the Church stand?

As the headlines resound with accusations of the sexual promiscuity of the Hollywood Elite, we see the sad reality of fallen mankind.

As if sinners are surprisingly unrighteous, but IN the Church, AMONG believers we’d expect more. How can we declare God’s love and holiness, grace and mercy to the world as many of our own leaders within the Church willfully commit the same transgressions. Some even making iniquity a regular norm.

What about the greed in the human heart? That love for money that is the root of all evil? How can the Church confront this in our time if we too worship in the Temple of the almighty dollar? Jesus made it very clear that if we desired to follow after him that we cannot serve two masters, God or money? ( Matthew 6:24 )

The hypocrisy of political parties that promise one thing and do another. Politicians who pretend to actually be concerned for their constituents and not their own career.

How can we confront this if we do not have God’s love in our hearts for our families, individuals and our communities.

Are we perfect, No, there is none righteous, not even one of us.

And while the majority of believers do continue to walk in God’s ways and make a difference where they are planted, there are those in the Church leadership that are stubbornly resisting God’s Spirit and live a double standard. Like Korah, Hophni, Phineas and Absalom of old, these too, will soon be removed.

The purpose of this article is to point out that not until we take the plank out of our own eye will we be able to make a lasting difference. It’s time to speak clearly and speak up…speak to our generation.

As things come to light of Hollywood's indiscretions, we must always remember…

Judgement starts in the house of God ( I Peter 4:17 )

Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. ( Hebrews 12:27  )

Jesus’ message to the Church is to repent so that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed and eye salve to anoint your eyes that you may see. ( Revelation 3 )

Every hidden will come to light ( Luke 8:17 )

Things done in secret will be shouted from the roof tops ( Luke 12:3 )

We pray for a return to the reverential fear of the Lord, that the whole Body of Christ truly live for Him and from this place of devotion, speak the truth in love with boldness to the whole human family.

During this season of transition thank you for your continued prayers for the Sumrall Family and LeSEA ministries.
